Before Your Consultation

  • The Services page has packages available for booking. If you’re not sure what best fits your needs, feel free to email me!

Please note that many behavioral problems, especially litter box avoidance, can coincide with medical issues. I recommend talking to your veterinarian to rule out medical causes before booking with me.

  • Before booking your session, please take a look at the cancellation policies. Fees are non-refundable.

  • Follow the Book Here links on the Services page. You will be prompted to select a date and time through the scheduling system (Calendly) and pay for your appointment with PayPal.

  • The Cat Behavior History Form can be found here and is required for litter box consultations. (This step is not necessary for Q&A sessions.)

This form will ask you to enter details about your cat(s) to help me understand your unique situation. It is important to submit at least 24 hours before your appointment to give me enough time to prepare for our conversation. This allows us to get the most out of our time together.

  • Technology: Please make sure you are familiar with Zoom and have a stable internet connection.

House Tour: In some cases, I may want to see the layout of your home or where your cats’ resources (like litter boxes, cat trees…) are located. If you are on a mobile device (laptop, tablet), you can more easily show me your cats’ spaces during our appointment.

If you do not have a mobile device, you can email me photos or a sketch of your floor plan, depending on what is relevant to your case.

Behavior problems: If you have photos or video of the behavior problems in question, feel free to share those with me in advance. Never put your cat in a dangerous or uncomfortable situation to obtain video.

During Your Consultation

  • You will find the meeting link in the original confirmation email from when you booked the appointment.

Your cat does not need to join during the initial consultation. They can stay where they are the most comfortable!

  • Since you filled out the Cat Behavior History form in advance, we can jump right in by discussing the details of your case. I’ll ask additional questions to fill in the gaps and determine the cause of your cat’s behavior.

  • Once I have all of the background information, I will propose the steps you can take to manage your cat’s behavior.

After Your Consultation

  • Yup, you get to do all the hard work of carrying out the plan we discussed in our consultation! You can start making changes as soon as we end the meeting, or you may choose to wait until you have the written behavior plan from me.

  • I will put together everything we talked about into a concise plan and email it to you within a few days after our consultation, along with relevant handouts and resources.

I will also include a link to schedule your follow-up sessions in this email.

I also like to send a copy of the plan to your veterinarian so they are aware of your cat’s behavior plan.

  • Depending on the package or session you booked, you may have a few weeks of email support after your session. Don’t let this go to waste! Send me updates on how your plan is working and I can give encouragement or suggestions for changes.

You can also schedule follow-up sessions that were included in your package. These Zoom meetings are a good way to check in and discuss if further changes need to be made to your plan.
